Session Four Thus Far - campfire, dancing and hippies!

We are all having an absolute blast so far this session! The first night was full of energy at the campfire, where each cabin group took turns going up on stage to introduce themselves and sing a song!

Day two consisted of lots of swimming, dancing and hiking! Our evening program was a dance party and Temple of Boom (a camp classic, in which the counselors dress up as celebrities and put on a show) - we all went to bed happy and tired!

Tuesday was very groovy - we had hippie day!!! We made beautiful headbands with flowers and feathers, made drums AND did tie-dye in arts & crafts! We went exploring through the hiking trails and took time to appreciate nature. We also did pet therapy with three cute little Dachshunds that Mary, our Executive Director, is pet-sitting! Relaxing and connecting with the dogs was really enjoyable! We sat on the lawn to play and snuggle with them, and campers took turns holding, brushing and feeding the dogs treats.

Our night activity, Kremstock was a tremendous amount of fun. We did face painting, parachute games and protest sign making. Everybody had different issues they felt strongly about:

Once everyone's protest signs were complete, we marched down the driveway to Outdoor Camp, where everybody painted their hands and left their handprint on the barn! We finished off the evening standing together in a circle and sang songs, while Derrick, one of our counselors played guitar!
